I've been itching to do something with these empty Puffs containers and my son's 1st Birthday party seemed like the perfect chance to use them. I've seen many blogs about using the containers for storage, or bowling pins (I'm sure we will do that in the near future), but we've decided to use them as a holder for our Mickey heads that we made (watch for that post soon)!
Here is what you need:
- Puffs container
- Red & Black paint (pink, black & white for Minnie) - I got mine at the dollar store.
- Foam brushes - dollar store
- White buttons
- Hot glue gun & glue
Steps:
1. Take the wrapper off the container and paint the bottom half red for Mickey and pink for Minnie. You will have to apply at least 2 coats. Let dry.
2. Paint top half black. You will have to apply 2 coats here as well. Let dry.
3. Glue on buttons. For Minnie, paint white polka dots on pink half.
You can use these on tables at your party to hold flowers, or with spurts of tissue paper (patterned would be super cute), hold candy on a candy table, or like I am with these handmade Mickey heads!
This project was so fun and took no time at all. Have fun!
