I call this project "Operation Playroom". we are still in the middle of this project, but I thought I'd share what we have done so far, and what our final goal is.
When we purchased this home, we weren't married, nor did we have any "real" kids (unless dogs and cats count?). So needless to say, we LOVED the fact that our basement came with a beautiful bar. We didn't end up using it a lot but it was nice for entertaining. The basement was a bit of a "man cave" if you want to call it that.
Fast forward a few years and enter baby and 192874286429 toys, the bar had to go! This space was pretty large and was perfect for all of his toys and room to crawl, walk and run around.
Next, I needed to find some inspiration for the playroom. I really wanted it to be clean looking and for every toy to have a "home" at the end of each day. My husband and I spent a few good hours combined searching through Google images of playroom ideas. At last, here is the one we loved and would work perfectly wih our space.
Stay tuned for my next update on the playroom project which will include furniture choice and cost!
